Happy New Year and welcome back! We hope you all had a fantastic break. This half term our topic is "Transport" and we will be finding out about all the different ways we move around the World.

During this term we will be celebrating World Book Day on 1st March and the photographer will be visiting the Nursery on Thursday 22nd March. More information will follow nearer the time. Our next Committee meeting will be held on 6th March at 7pm in the Nursery - everyone is welcome.

We actively seek feedback to ensure that we are maintaining the highest standards in the Nursery. Please see the "Feedback" page for comments we have received recently. If you have any feedback please pass it on to any member of staff or, if you would prefer, please contact Marie Jailler directly.

Please see the "Communicating with You" page for our latest newsletters.

Check out the "News and Events" page for details of what is happening and dates for your diary.

May we please remind everyone that if they are late arriving at the gate, please phone the nursery to let us know. We can't stress enough that the safety of the children on the school site is paramount, so in order for us to ensure safety at all times, the gate will be opened promptly and locked while it is unmanned. We do hope this is helpful.

  • At Sandford St Martin's Nursery we aim to provide a friendly community based nursery, which meets your needs and is warm, affordable and flexible.

  • Our staff are; well qualified, experienced and professional. They go the extra mile to ensure each child is treated as an individual.

  • Through carefully planned activities and structured play children experience fun, wonder and excitement whilst developing as independent learners.

  • Starting at nursery is obviously big step in a child's life and the way in which a child responds will vary. Some will feel at home immediately whereas for others it may take some time until they feel comfortable.

  • Each child has their own key worker to help this process and we are always happy to give you a quick phone call to reassure you that your child has settled. It is very rare that a child will not settle down after a few minutes.

  • We believe your child will be encouraged to develop into a confident individual, where positive self-esteem is fostered. They will also have access to a comprehensive Early Years curriculum.

  • For those wishing to feed into Sandford St Martin's First School we have an active partnership with the school. The Head Teacher, Mr Simon Donlon is on our committee and helps to support the work of the nursery. We plan several linked curriculum topics with Early Years to ensure that the transition to big school is as familiar and smooth as possible.

  • Come and see for yourself - contact our Manager, Miss Marie Jailler to make an appointment for a visit. Either drop in or telephone 01929 558122.
