Our facilities
The Learning Environment
We are fortunate to have 2 dedicated acitivity rooms, which are organised into age appropriate groups.
"Little Acorns" activity room caters for our younger children usually aged 2-3.5 years.
"Mini Mulberry's" cater for the children the year before "big school", normally aged 3.5 - 5 years.
Our activity rooms provide security and a base for key parts of the day, such as registration and story time. The activity rooms are organised into clearly defined areas where different teaching and learning experiences take place. There are areas to:
- Explore and investigate
- Think and reflect
- Communicate
- Express themselves creatively
- Develop their own identities
- Be involved in projects.
The Outside Environment
Our garden space is securely fenced and provides a safe place where children can play and develop across the curriculum. As such the outside area is seen as an additional activity room so activities are planned for the outside every day.
In addition to our own space we also have access to the wider school environment including the use of the hall for music and movement, the adventure play equipment in the large playground and the use of the school swimming pool during the summer term.
